Alec Tarrant retires after 50 years in the insurance industry

After 50 years in insurance, Alec retired at the end of last year.

During his career, he has worked with LV, Eagle Star and Zurich and for the last 11 years, he has been with Claims Consortium Group.

Commenting on the announcement Alec said “I have enjoyed my time in insurance and have built some strong friendships along the way. However, I would specifically like to thank everyone at Claims Consortium for allowing me to be part of their outstanding success as a member of the Board. I leave the sales and account management team in the extremely capable hands of Heather Lambert as I now fully concentrate on enjoying our 4 granddaughters, gardening and of course saltwater fly-fishing”.

Alec officially resigned from the Board on 5th December 2020. Claims Consortium Group Founder and CEO, Jeremy Hyams said ‘It has been my absolute pleasure and privilege to work alongside Alec for the past 11 years and on behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire Group, I want to thank him for his outstanding contribution to the company. Throughout his tenure with Claims Consortium, Alec’s strategic thinking, judgement and expertise has been instrumental to our success and his tireless dedication has helped us forge new partnerships and expand into new areas of the market.

Alec has built strong, lasting relationships within Claims Consortium and across the industry, and I want to thank him personally for his friendship and support over the years. He leaves behind him a legacy of excellence and will always be part of the Claims Consortium family.

Our current Sales Director, Heather Lambert has taken over the management of the Sales and Account Management Teams and now joins the Board of Directors in this capacity. I am confident the department will continue to flourish under her leadership. We all wish Alec the very best for his well-deserved retirement and all his future endeavours.”
