Claims Consortium appoints new Financial Director

Claims Consortium Group has appointed James Chatterjee as its new Financial Director.

James was formerly Group Financial Controller at Jisc (Joint Information Systems Committee), a Bristol-based membership organisation that provides digital solutions to the UK education sector. He brings more than 10 years’ experience as a chartered accountant to his new role in the insurance sector, which includes a previous role at facilities management firm Mitie. James replaces Peter Cornthwaite, following his retirement.

Jeremy Hyams, CEO at Claims Consortium, said: ”We’re delighted to welcome James to the directorial team and believe his skills and experience will help us plan for future growth. Since technology is at the heart of our offering, his previous focus on digital will enable us to capitalise on our strong position in the claims sector and beyond.”

James Chatterjee said: “This is an exciting and positive move for me. Claims Consortium is a business that has ambitious growth plans and is leading in its approach to business. I am looking forward to helping the company consolidate its position in the insurance claims market, and expand its client base in the area of digital services.” 

James, who lives in Bristol, will be based at the Taunton office.
