• Objective evaluation to determine policy liability
• Desk validation and site contractor surveys
• Thorough surveyor-led site investigations
• Detailed multimedia reports on causation for clients
Property Consortium Drainage provides an objective evaluation of site information to determine policy liability in line with our clients’ requirements.
We have a range of pre and post-work validation techniques. Rather than offering one size fits all we adopt the best approach for the claim. Each validation may involve one or several of the following techniques:
We can conduct a desktop review of relevant paperwork which typically includes reports, plans, drawings, estimates and invoices. Where required we speak with third parties and/or their agents to obtain additional information.
Our network specialist contractor undertakes a full investigation at site to assist in the desk validation. This process is followed where we believe either costs or scope warrant further review. Where work is not complete we agree the work required and cost based on site conditions. Completed works are checked against invoices to confirm the extent of work undertaken.
Through our claims validation process we ensure that clients and customers pay only the correct costs relating to the necessary repairs.
Property Consortium Drainage works with the Group’s surveyor-led service, Building Claims Services, to carry out a thorough site investigation, involving a surveyor and specialist contractor. This provides an additional layer of expertise to cases where specialist construction, drainage and insurance knowledge is required.
Our validation processes and our claims handler training programmes are designed to enable the identification of potentially fraudulent aspects of a claim.
We issue timely, detailed multimedia reports clearly identifying causation allowing our clients to determine liability quickly from an informed position.
We work with a customer’s preferred contractor and/or their agent on request.
