Christmas festivities raise more than £4,000 for charities
14th January 2019
Claims Consortium Group embraced the Christmas spirit at a Charity Day on Friday 21 December, raising £4,200 in a joint fundraising effort for charity.
Fundraising included a giant raffle, with prizes donated by staff and suppliers, as well as local businesses such as The Brewhouse Theatre, Somerset County Cricket Club, Blackbrook Leisure Centre and Meridian Business Support. Fundraising was supported by a Christmas-themed fancy dress, and selling turkey baps.
Claims Consortium hosts a range of fundraising activities and Charity Days throughout the year, led by the Charity Committee. The funds will go to support Stand Against Violence (SAV), Northampton Hope Centre and StreetVet.
Debbie Mawer, Director of People and Culture at Claims Consortium said: “Thanks to the outstanding generosity of everyone who donated items to our Christmas raffle, we were able to give away some amazing prizes and raise a brilliant amount for our chosen charities.
“Charity Days are a highlight in our events calendar, and the whole company enjoys getting involved and doing what they can to help. Our Christmas-themed day was no different, and most people could be seen wearing Christmas jumpers and embracing the festive spirit! Well done to everyone involved, we are so proud of your efforts.”
