From Newsreader Dreams to Insurance Leadership
Sarah’s career path took an unexpected turn from her childhood dream of becoming a newsreader. After leaving school, she started an apprenticeship in telecommunications whilst studying business law, eventually finding her way into insurance. Over three years at CCG, she’s created cohesion across geographically dispersed teams in Stoke, Chipping Norton, and Taunton through weekly catch-ups, knowledge transfer, and sending “task force” teams to support peak periods.
Sarah’s proudest achievement has been merging operational and TPA teams, tapping into the operational team’s “well-oiled machine” efficiency during surge events. Her magic wand for the industry? Changing the reputation and perception of insurance. She’s frustrated by the assumption that insurers are looking to decline claims when the reality is an industry focused on correct outcomes and customer care.
