From Air Cadets to Claims Handling
Tatiana’s career didn’t follow the plan she’d imagined. Growing up in the Air Cadets, she dreamt of joining the RAF as an air traffic and weapons controller. At 19, ready to enlist, she was turned away and faced with a two-year wait to reapply she took a job in insurance as a temporary solution. Two years later, when she could reapply, she realised she didn’t want to. She’d discovered a passion for claims handling, started her CII qualifications, and mapped out a clear progression plan within the industry.
Now approaching her two-year anniversary at CCG, Tatiana handles contents and gadgets claims, recently expanding into property lines. She’s proud of her team’s focus on creating a positive office environment, with weekly meetings to discuss improvements and ensure everyone feels heard. If she had a magic wand? Policy wordings that come with a trailer, like a film, giving customers a quick visual summary instead of expecting them to read 24 pages of small print, particularly important for elderly customers who may not be comfortable with technology.
